Our vicar Martin leads the school collective worship once a week which strengthens and supports the Christian identity of our school, reaffirms the school’s vision and associated core values. We are proud that the school’s vision is firmly rooted in the bible and encourages all children to live life in all its fullness.
The children regularly hold services in church with usually over 180 children and adults joining together in an informal and energetic act of worship! These are themed on one of their Christian values of perseverance, friendship & creativity.
The Reverend Martin Otter is the vicar of our parish – the Parish of Marston Moor, which includes Bilbrough, Askham Richard, Long Marston, Rufforth and Tockwith.
Our school has services for Easter, Harvest and Christmas, the start of term and leaver’s service at the end of the academic year. We also hold regular “experience church” days for all of the year groups.
